People who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid have long faced the challenge of navigating fragmented health care systems, and as a result, have faced worse health outcomes than those enrolled in Medicare alone. During the COVID-19 pandemic, dual-eligible beneficiaries were among the most impacted, facing disproportionately high hospitalization rates.

As OMB seeks to rectify systemic health care disparities facing underserved populations, Arnold Ventures believes that improving coverage and care for dual-eligibles must be a key priority to achieve equity.
