Position: Receptionist & Administrative Assistant

Location: Houston, TX

Arnold Ventures is seeking a professional and motivated individual who can serve as Arnold Ventures’ receptionist and provide administrative and special project support to the Houston office.

Core Responsibilities

  • Performing general administrative, clerical, and receptionist duties such as: receiving guests; answering phones; managing conference room calendars; organizing meetings, appointments, and travel; managing mail; photocopying; filing; preparing expense reimbursements; providing logistical information to guests and staff; etc.
  • Ordering and organizing office supplies
  • Stocking and organizing the office kitchen
  • Reviewing and documenting charges made on corporate credit cards
  • Assisting with onboarding efforts and special projects
  • Supporting the Director of Administration with planning special events
  • Promoting a positive, collaborative work environment by helping to organize and host team-building activities and initiatives

Essential Skills, Experience, & Qualities

  • At least five years of experience as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, and/or Office Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree (earned or soon to be received)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
  • Positive, professional, team-oriented, and mission-driven attitude
  • Proactive, curious, adaptable, and open to embracing new challenges
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other standard computer software
