Maeov provides strategic support for the Health Care team’s Provider Payment Incentives and Medicare Sustainability portfolios. Her work centers policy research and analysis to advance efforts to reduce low-value care and increase efficiency in the health care system.

Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Maeov interned with the Department of Health & Human Services in their Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where she helped write regulations, evaluate existing policies, and analyze COVID-19’s projected impact on the ACA marketplace. She also interned with Planned Parenthood, where she researched mental and reproductive health in minority and immigrant communities, as well as assisted in electoral work for the 2020 election. She additionally worked at the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center, where she initiated projects orienting domestic violence awareness, rape culture, and survivor support.

Maeov received her bachelor’s degree in biology and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. For two years, she also volunteered in the pediatric and oncology units at the University of Virginia Hospital, where she aided patients and visitors during hospital stays. She is the recipient of awards that include the Leonard D. Schaeffer Fellowship for her dedication to political work and the Susan Grossman Memorial Award for her work in sexual respect education.
