Dan Ryan

Health Care Manager, Medicare Sustainability (he/him)

Dan provides strategic management for the Medicare Sustainability portfolio as part of the Health Care team at Arnold Ventures. His work drives the identification, development, and management of investment opportunities that aim to reduce overpayments and wasteful spending in the Medicare program and strengthen its financing.

Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Dan worked as a graduate research assistant examining non-profit hospital community benefit and charity care provision with faculty in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He was also a graduate institute fellow at the Hopkins Business of Health Initiative, and he provided pro bono consulting services to pharmaceutical industry start-ups as a member of the Johns Hopkins Graduate Consulting Club. He has a decade-long background in public accounting, during which he gained extensive experience in tax policy research and analysis.

Dan is currently pursuing a MSPH in health policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (expected graduation 2024). He holds a certificate in public health economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bucknell University.
