2025 Arnold Ventures Benefits at a Glance
All benefit enrollment is completed through Paylocity.
Keep Your Information Current: Make sure you keep your personal information up to date in Paylocity: address, email, phone number, emergency contact information, name changes, taxes, etc.
Beneficiary Designations: It is the sole responsibility of the employee to maintain current beneficiaries on file within the Paylocity Benefits portal and Fidelity NetBenefits systems.
How to Enroll or Make Benefit Changes
AV regular full-time employees and benefits-eligible regular part-time employees may enroll or make benefit changes during any of the three events listed below:
- New hires: Insurance coverage is waived by default unless active election is made by you within 14 days from your first day of employment.
- Open enrollment: AV holds open enrollment in November or December each calendar year. During this period you may enroll or make changes to your benefit plans.
- Qualified life event: AV employees may make changes to their benefit plans within 30 days of the occurrence of certain “life events.” Life events include:
- Marriage
- Divorce or legal separation
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Change in a child’s dependent status
- Death of a spouse/domestic partner, child or other qualified dependent
- Change in residence due to an employment transfer for you or your spouse/domestic partner
- Commencement or termination of adoption proceedings
- Change in spouse’s/domestic partner’s benefits or employment status

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas — Medical
AV provides you and your family the opportunity to enroll in Medical benefits through BlueCross BlueShield of Texas. This plan offers both in-and out-of-network benefits. You will typically pay less out of pocket for services received in-network. In-network preventive care is covered at 100% and offers low copayments for office visits. Health Savings Account Bank
An HSA is a savings account that allows you to save and pay for qualified health expenses for you and your dependents on a tax-free basis. Arnold Ventures will withhold payroll deductions and deposit the pre-tax money into your account with HSA Bank, our account custodian.

MetLife — Vision
Your eyes are vital to your overall health. Arnold Ventures, LLC provides you and your dependents Vision insurance with MetLife. Your vision plan offers discounts for glasses, contacts, and exams.

MetLife — Dental
AV offers employees and their dependents dental insurance through MetLife. The plan covers two cleanings per year and offer in-network discounts for services ranging from fillings to implants. Plans also cover orthodontics for children and adults.

Basic Life and AD&D
Basic Life and AD&D is 100% paid by your employer. AV provides all regular full-time employees and benefits-eligible regular part-time employees with Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance through The Hartford.

Voluntary Life and AD&D
Voluntary Life and AD&D is fully funded by the employee via payroll deduction. For employees looking to obtain additional coverage, Voluntary Life and AD&D benefits may be elected via the Paylocity Benefits portal. Under covered events, these amounts would be paid out in addition to Basic Life and AD&D.

STD, LTD
Disability coverage is 100% paid by your employer. AV provides all regular full-time employees and benefits eligible regular part-time employees with Short and Long Term Disability benefits through The Hartford. Disability coverage may help provide a source of income replacement in the event of disability due to a non-occupational illness or injury.

Accident Coverage
Accident coverage through The Hartford provides benefits for you and your covered family member for expenses related to an accidental injury that occurs outside of work. Health insurance helps with medical expenses, but this coverage is an additional layer of protection that can help pay deductibles, copays, and even typical day-to-day expenses such as a mortgage or car payment. Benefits are payable to you to use as you wish.

Critical Illness
Critical Illness coverage through The Hartford pays a lump-sum benefit if you are diagnosed with a covered disease or condition. You can use this money however you like. Examples include helping pay for expenses not covered by your medical plan, lost wages, childcare, travel, home healthcare costs, or any of your regular household expenses.

Hospital Indemnity
Hospital Indemnity coverage through The Hartford pays you cash benefits directly if you are admitted to the hospital or an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a covered stay. You can use the benefits to help pay for your medical expenses such as deductibles and copays, travel costs, food and lodging, or everyday expenses such as groceries and utilities.

Fidelity 401(k)
Upon hire, you have the ability to enroll in our before-tax 401(k) contribution plan via the Fidelity NetBenefits portal. If you do not take any action, you will be auto-enrolled to contribute 4% of your pre-tax earnings after a 35-day waiting period from your first day of employment. You may choose to opt out of the plan, increase, or decrease your contributions at any time during the year.
- 2025 Max Contribution Limit per IRS = $23,500
- 2025 Age 50 or over you are eligible to contribute a catch-up contribution = $11,250
- 2025 Employer Eligible Annual Earnings Contribution Limit = $350,000
Transit Benefits – WEX
Our transit benefit is administered by WEX and is available to all team members. This plan allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars via payroll deduction for qualified mass transit and parking. The monthly max contribution is $325 per month. View the Commuter Benefits and FSAs Webinar
Accessing Funds:
- You can use your benefits debit card to pay providers directly at the time of service from your transit account.
- If a transit facility doesn’t accept debit card payments, you can pay out of pocket and submit a reimbursement request.
- Employees are allowed to make changes to their election anytime throughout the year, and any unused funds are rolled over from month-to-month/year-to-year.
- Election amounts can be changed at any time via Paylocity.
Flexible Spending Accounts – WEX
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are administered by Wex, Inc. FSAs provide you with an important tax advantage that allows you to pay health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis and lower your taxable income. With an FSA, money is taken out of your paycheck on a pre-tax basis to pay for eligible expenses.
