Arnold Ventures commissioned a national survey, conducted by Fabrizio Ward March 19 – 24. 1,000 registered voters nationwide and 1,000 registered voters in targeted “toss-up” Congressional districts were interviewed. More than three-in-four voters, and 70% of Trump voters, say it is very important for Congress to take action to reduce the price of Rx drugs.
Findings also reveal 60% say drug company profits are to blame for the high cost of prescription drugs, with voters overwhelmingly (78%) saying the prescription drug industry is better described as “primarily focused on making profits” vs. “makes a positive difference in people’s lives.”
