Lizzy Boney

Lizzy Boney serves on the Advocacy, Communications, and External Affairs (ACE) team at Arnold Ventures. She is deeply committed to empowering communities and promoting equity through strategic advocacy. With a fervent passion for justice and asset-based storytelling, Lizzy collaborates closely with the Executive Vice President of ACE, guiding the team’s strategic initiatives across various program areas. Her role includes crafting advocacy strategies and helping oversee state and federal investments that advance evidence-based policy solutions.

Previously, Lizzy served as the Senior Director of Communications and Equity Strategy at Whiteboard Advisors. In this role, she worked alongside C-suite executives from national nonprofits and Fortune 100 companies, leading communication efforts that enhanced visibility and advanced strategic objectives. Her ability to align communication strategies with organizational goals made her a key player in the sectors she served.

Lizzy launched her career as a Presidential Fellow at the University of North Carolina system office, where she supported the office of President Margaret Spellings. During her tenure, she contributed to several strategic initiatives, including the inaugural Behavioral Health Convening, a comprehensive rebranding of the UNC System, and a statewide tour aimed at strengthening community relations. These experiences have shaped her into a versatile and effective advocate for community empowerment and policy reform.

Lizzy’s professional journey is marked by her commitment to not only achieving high-impact results but also creating inclusive environments that value and incorporate diverse perspectives. Her work continues to influence and inspire those around her, making a significant impact in the fields of advocacy and communications.

Lizzy holds a B.A. in political science from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
