Scam and Fraud Awareness

We are aware of fraudulent emails, phone calls, text messages, and social media messages that falsely claim to be from, or affiliated with, Arnold Ventures or our founders, Laura and John Arnold. 

These communications may misuse our logo, photographs, website content, or links taken from our website to appear legitimate. They may falsely indicate that you have been selected to receive a grant, scholarship, award, job opportunity, or other funds. 

Arnold Ventures and Our Employees Never

  • Request administrative fees for awarding a grant. 

  • Request information about bank accounts or other personal information outside of our official grant management system. 

  • Solicit donations at any time. 

  • Host lotteries or offer prizes of any kind. 

  • Request registration fees for conferences or summits or fees to apply for jobs. 

  • Have memberships or request fees for memberships. 

  • Approach individuals about grant opportunities or scholarships. 

  • Offer investment opportunities. 

Protect Yourself From Scams

  • Be suspicious of unsolicited emails or direct messages that request personal, financial, or banking information. 

  • Do not complete forms or provide sensitive information through email. 

  • Visit official websites directly rather than clicking links contained in emails or messages. 

  • Be cautious of any message claiming that you have been awarded a grant or offered a job unexpectedly. 

  • Never send money or wire funds to claim a grant, prize, or opportunity. 

  • If you believe you have received a fraudulent message, disregard it and do not respond.
