WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 22, 2026) — Kelli Rhee, president and CEO of Arnold Ventures, provided the following statement after Senate passage of the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act:

After extensive consideration by both Chambers, Congress has delivered a groundbreaking pro-supply housing bill. The country faces a prolonged housing shortage that requires leaders at all levels of government to act and pass reforms to meet demand. We’re pleased to see the House and Senate reach an agreement on the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

The Act will cut red tape to increase supply and reduce barriers to homeownership. Both chambers of Congress incorporated impactful, supply-side reforms in their initial proposals, including streamlining environmental reviews, authorizing grant and pilot programs to incentivize better local planning, and updating outdated regulations. These reforms are overwhelmingly bipartisan, underscoring the need to enact them now.

Passage of this landmark bill would not have been possible without the leadership of Chairs Tim Scott (R‑SC) and French Hill (R‑AR); and Ranking Members Elizabeth Warren (D‑MA) and Maxine Waters (D‑CA), who championed housing reforms from the beginning.

We urge the House to send this bill to the President without delay.”
