Arnold Ventures Commends House Passage of Housing for the 21st Century Act
Rhee: Bill “reflects a comprehensive approach to housing by increasing supply, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and empowering builders to meet demand.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 9, 2026) — Kelli Rhee, president and CEO at Arnold Ventures, provided the following statement after House passage of the bipartisan Housing for the 21st Century Act:
“For too long, outdated rules and unnecessary red tape have made it too hard and too expensive to build new homes. With passage of the bipartisan Housing for the 21st Century Act, the House took a major step to change that.
“The Housing for the 21st Century Act empowers communities to expand the supply of all types of homes, which will bring down costs and give Americans more choices. The legislation reflects a comprehensive approach to housing by increasing supply, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and empowering builders to meet demand.
“We thank Chairman French Hill (R‑AR) and Ranking Member Maxine Waters (D‑CA) for their leadership and commitment to pragmatic, solutions-oriented housing policy, and for helping to ensure the American dream is available to everyone.”
Rhee and other AV infrastructure experts are available for interview or comment. More information on AV’s housing policy work can be found here.
