Position Overview

Arnold Ventures is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual who can take ownership and responsibility for compiling and maintaining all aspects of the accounts payable process. This team member will be responsible for ensuring all payments are accurate and that the proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services, including but not limited to:

Core Responsibilities

  • Performing all aspects of the accounts payable process and ensuring the accounts payable process and associated internal controls are uninterruptedly maintained
  • Reviewing all invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Verifying appropriateness of general ledger account codes and correctly inputting all payment information into accounting system
  • Tracking expenditures for budgeting purposes and guaranteeing spending aligns with accounting guidelines
  • Assisting in monthly closing processes
  • Handling the corporate credit card review process in entirety, including distributing, reviewing, and entering transactions
  • Creating, organizing, and maintaining electronic grant, consultant, vendor, and other required files
  • Overseeing the Form 1099-MISC process
  • Verifying that grant agreement reporting and payment requirements are met
  • Recognizing, evaluating, and communicating irregularities between submitted expenses and reimbursement policy with internal and external team members, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience


  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
  • Keen attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other standard computer software
  • Experience with Multiview, Quicken, or other accounting software
