Simona Dunn has over 20 years of progressive experience as a senior human resources leader working with global Fortune 500 and start-up companies. She is now serving as the director of People & Culture and will cultivate and lead the people and culture strategy as well as lead and manage the recruiting and on-boarding of new employees for Arnold Ventures.

Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Simona served as the director, human capital management for Axiom Space reporting to the CEO. Simona developed and executed a human capital strategy and workforce plan to scale the organization from 25 to 300 employees during her tenure. She also established the company’s core values and core value behavior to drive company culture and employee engagement. Prior to that, she was the senior global human resources manager for LyondellBassell; one of the largest plastics, chemicals, refining and manufacturing companies in the world. In this role, Simona consulted and collaborated with executives and senior leaders in driving and executing HR strategy for continuous improvement and enhancing employee engagement. She also served as the company’s HR governance and compliance officer and was the HR lead project expert for M&A activities and HRMS.

Throughout her career, Simona has served as a change management advocate, making positive impacts for employees and organizations in recruiting, performance management, talent management, and succession planning. Simona is a capable leader known for her ability to manage complex HR issues and has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead and expand human resources and the workforce.

Simona holds a bachelor of science degree in sociology from the University of Houston and a master of business administration with a concentration in human resources management from the University of Phoenix. She also possesses two nationally recognized HR certifications; Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) distinctions.
