Criminal Justice Manager
Raquel provides grant development and management support for the Criminal Justice initiative. Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Raquel worked at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she managed the Immigrant Affairs Program. In that role, Raquel organized public outreach initiatives, conducted crime screening and victim interviews, and worked to build anti-crime coalitions in underserved immigrant communities.
In addition, Raquel interned at the Administration for Children and Families in the U.S. Department for Health and Human Services, where she conducted research on public programs and drafted a strategy for increasing Latinos’ access to government services. She also served as a Bankers Without Borders volunteer for Grameen Foundation in Nairobi, and interned at various organizations in Washington, D.C., including the Council of the Americas, Foreign Policy magazine, and the U.S. Congress. Raquel holds a master’s in public policy from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
