Jeff Lieberman

Senior Desktop Support Analyst

Jeff is responsible for on-site and remote support to maintain the functionality of AV technology systems and hardware, and to provide training and resources to staff at Arnold Ventures. They prioritize the user experience, while helping implement industry best-practices and providing the department with the perspective of the end user and how best to meet their needs in an evolving IT infrastructure.

Prior to working with Arnold Ventures, Jeff was the sole Desktop Support Technician for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. During that time, they oversaw multiple organization-wide upgrades and infrastructure changes, handled many fast-paced and high-stress technical failures both on-site, remotely, and at the D.C. Superior Court during active criminal trials.

Jeff began their professional IT career in 2019 by obtaining certifications and acquiring several short and long-term contracts across multiple IT disciplines. With a personal interest in IT since 2010, they began building and customizing home PCs, and later in 2017 building and customizing several cryptocurrency mining PCs.

Their past experience in customer service, both during and prior to their IT career, means they entered this role committed to their department’s mission of reshaping the relationship between users and the IT department into one that empowers staff to accomplish the vision set forth by the Arnold Ventures Co-Chairs.

Jeff uses they/them pronouns and welcomes any and all discourse and questions related to gender identities to spread awareness and share their own experience; they strive to share, educate, listen, and learn. Their personal philosophy is “resolution, peace, and compassion come from understanding.”
